Moose and calf, Needa Lake, BC

On her early morning paddles, Anne quite often is rewarded with a moose sighting. The calves are born in mid-May. Later in the season, moose can be spotted enjoying pond lilies. One of the moose likes to swim across the lake each morning; you just have to catch him at the right time.
